One of the UK’s best-regarded clinical negligence lawyers – Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp – joined our clinical negligence team on Monday, 3rd October.
In Chambers and the Legal 500, Rosamund is described as ‘the doyenne of clinical negligence’. She is also credited with being compassionate, completely dedicated to her clients, and having ‘a great depth of knowledge about medical issues’. That compassion and dedication has been invaluable to Rosamund’s involvement with high severity Cerebral Palsy cases, and in representing clients at inquests.
As a regular commentator on healthcare issues, her media profile – tv, press and radio – is high. And she’s been significantly involved recently in highlighting deficiencies in the care of the elderly in hospitals and nursing homes.
A qualified nurse as well as a solicitor, Rosamund is a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel, the AVMA (Action Against Medical Accidents) Panel, and has long-standing clients which include the Public and Commercial Services Union. She’s renowned for her work on complex, high-value claims, and has gained a strong reputation for taking on – and winning – difficult cases.
Linda Levison, P&B’s head of clinical negligence, added:
“Rosamund has a top-notch reputation in clinical negligence and is a terrific acquisition for the firm. We’re also delighted to have the opportunity to co-host her ‘Claims Involving Children’ conference with previous employers, Kester Cunningham John.”
Whilst excited by her move back to London, Rosamund recognises the great spirit of her previous firm in offering P&B the chance to work with them to host the ‘Claims Involving Children’ joint conference – Rosamund’s brainchild.
“It will be really good to see the two firms working in harmony on this important conference in November. Naturally a part of me is sad to leave. But the challenge of working in London with a specialist claimant injury practice with P&B’s reputation for championing justice for injured people was impossible to ignore.”
