First class footie result by our postie’s team against Emmerdale!

Business Development Director Denise Kitchener reports on some excellent charity fund-raising news from York…

denise_kitchenerAndy Day, Pattinson & Brewer’s York office ‘postie’, led his team of fellow postman to a first class victory over a side comprising actors and crew from the TV soap Emmerdale.

Stamping their authority on the match, the posties triumphantly delivered a 3–1scoreline. But the most important score on the day was the money raised – over £3,000 for St. Leonard’s Hospice.

Andy and his colleagues worked really hard in the run up to the event to generate support from many local businesses. And, said Denise:

“It was great for us to see Andy’s team in their Pattinson & Brewer-sponsored kit, and also to donate the challenge trophy. We’re hoping we can support future footie challenges in the years ahead.”

Pictured below are Darren Bateson and Jade Hessay from York delivery office, with James Hooton (who plays Sam Dingle), Luke Roswell (who plays Sean Spencer) and – with all the skills – young Jack Downham.
