Media & Creative Industries
Charles Dickens was a client of one of our founding partners (we have a letter complaining about his bill * but don’t let that put you off!)
Since our very beginnings as a law firm in the 19th century we have been involved in representing those who work in the arts. We were appointed to represent the interests of the British Actors’ Equity Association shortly after their formation in 1930 and we are very proud of our ongoing links with Equity, which has seen us represent the interests of many in the media and creative sectors * from ‘A’ listers to stunt performers, from circus acts to radio hosts, and from models to ‘stand ups’.
We have lawyers with vast experience of representing on issues from defamation to contract disputes and from intellectual property disputes to the infringement of agency conduct regulations, as well as providing members of the sector with a comprehensive package of personal legal support ranging from personal injury to wills and probate, and from property to matrimonial issues.
As a team we have a genuine love for and empathy with the challenges facing those who work in the arts.
