Mesothelioma Day: never forget the victims

On Action Mesothelioma Day Jack Waller, from our London office, reflects on our ongoing struggle against industrial disease as historic exposure to asbestos dust continues to make life – and death – a misery for those afflicted…

Mesothelioma is a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. It can stem from breathing in just a single asbestos fibre. So anyone who has ever been exposed to asbestos is potentially at risk of developing the disease. And it does not usually develop until many years after the exposure to asbestos took place.

Today is Action Mesothelioma Day, and there are a number of events taking place around the country to mark this. The day is about raising awareness, and supporting and remembering those who are, or have been, affected by mesothelioma.

Pattinson & Brewer’s industrial disease team have a long history of acting for victims of mesothelioma and their families, and are currently representing a number of clients in their fight for compensation.
