Please note that for all cases where the effective date of termination is 29 July or later, the compensatory award will now be capped at one year’s pay, or £74,200 – whichever is lower.
This is a result of the Unfair Dismissal (Variation of the Limit of Compensatory Award) Order 2013, which was laid before parliament on 10 June, passing the parliamentary approval process last week.
