From 1st April 2013 the amounts of compensation paid to sufferers, or their dependants, under the 2008 Diffuse Mesothelioma Scheme will rise by 2.2%.
The 2008 scheme provides for lump sum compensation payments to people suffering from mesothelioma, or their dependants, who have not received a payment for mesothelioma under the Pneumoconiosis etc. (Workers’ Compensation) Act 1979.
These payments are set according to the age of the sufferer and the extent of their disability. For more information, please follow the link below.
