Swinton Insurance , one of the country’s largest insurers, has been found by the Financial Conduct Authority to have ‘prioritised profit’ at the expense of its customers.
It has been fined £7.38 million for mis-selling add ons such as personal accident, home emergency and motor breakdown policies.
