Making A Claim
How will I pay for it?
People fund their claims in various ways.
If you have a very strong claim, your lawyer may agree to act on a ‘no-win, no-fee’ basis. This means that you will only pay for the work done if you win your case.
If you are a member of a trade union, then you may be eligible for funding through your union.
Some people have legal expenses insurance which covers the cost of bringing legal action. Typically this is included in your house insurance.
If you are paying privately, our lawyers will work with you to make this as affordable as possible.
What do I need to prove?
Different types of legal claims have different legal tests that you will need to satisfy to win.
Our lawyers will assess your case and tell you if they think you have a good chance of winning.
How long will it take?
The legal process can often move slowly.
We work very hard to get you the result you want as quickly as possible. In many cases, this can be achieved without having to go all the way to a trial, through a settlement (a legally bind agreement to pay you compensation.
We will tell you how long you claim is likely to take to complete at the outset and keep you updated regularly as the case is progressed.
